President & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Garrett has over 20 years of senior executive management experience in the mining industry and an exceptional track record for developing projects and building companies. Dr. Garrett was President, CEO and Director of Romarco Minerals Inc. where she built and led the team that developed the multi-million ounce Haile Gold Mine from discovery through to final feasibility, permitting and construction. Romarco was subsequently acquired by OceanaGold in 2015 and Dr. Garrett was appointed to the Board of OceanaGold and a member of the Steering Committee for the Haile Gold Mine. Dr. Garrett was most recently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nickel Creek Platinum Corp. (NCP), a mining exploration and development company, since June 2016. Dr. Garrett is also a Director of NovaGold Resources Inc., a gold company listed on the NYSE American and Toronto Stock Exchange. Prior to her time at Romarco, Dr. Garrett held numerous senior positions in public mining companies including VP of Corporate Development at Dayton Mining Corporation and VP of Corporate Development at Beartooth Platinum Corporation. Early in her career, Dr. Garrett was the Senior Mining Analyst and Portfolio Manager in the precious metals sector with US Global Investors. Dr. Garrett has also served as a director of TriStar Gold, Inc. and Revival Gold Inc. Dr. Garrett received her Ph.D. in Engineering and her Masters in Mineral Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Rideout is a seasoned financial executive and has more than 30 years of senior executive experience in the mining and manufacturing industries, including Romarco Minerals Inc. (“Romarco”) and Phelps Dodge Corporation (“Phelps Dodge”). Mr. Rideout served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Romarco from 2010 to 2015 where he arranged the project debt financing for the Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina. Since Romarco was acquired by OceanaGold Corporation, he has been providing debt and equity consulting services for a number of mining companies in addition to being Chairman and consulting CEO of Carolina Gold Resources Inc. (“CGR”), a Canadian precious and base metals project-generator company. From January 2008 until May 2008, Mr. Rideout was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Swift Transportation Corporation (“Swift”), a large North American truckload carrier. Prior to Swift, Mr. Rideout held various senior finance and accounting positions over 25 years with Phelps Dodge, a publicly traded mining and manufacturing company. Those roles included Vice President and Treasurer, Vice President and Controller, and Investor Relations Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Phelps Dodge International Corporation. Mr. Rideout earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Evansville and his Bachelor of Science, Business/Finance, from Western Kentucky University. Mr. Rideout is a Certified Public Accountant.
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Henris is a highly experienced mining operations executive with more than 35 years of experience in senior operations positions with major mining firms including General Manager of two mines at Newmont Mining Corporation (“Newmont”) where he was responsible for surface and underground mines and processing facilities, including roasting, flotation and oxide milling, and heap leach pads. At Barrick Gold Corporation (“Barrick”), Mr. Henris held positions as Mine Operations Supervisor and Senior Mine Planner at the Goldstrike Mine. At Goldcorp Inc., Mr. Henris was Vice President, Mining and Geotechnical. His background includes on the ground experience managing several open pit and underground mines with both heap leach and milling/refractory oxidation processing operations. Mr. Henris has a specific focus and strong experience in establishing safety cultures, reliability, and cost control programs. He joins us from Stantec Inc. where he was a Senior Mining Consultant providing his technical expertise on mine planning, engineering support, feasibility, and optimization studies for several mining projects. Mr. Henris holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
Senior Vice President & Treasurer
Jeff currently holds the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer. Jeff rejoined Hycroft in August 2018 as its Vice President, Treasurer, having previously served in senior finance and accounting roles with the Company from 2010 to 2015. From 2015 to 2018 Jeff held senior and executive positions including financial reporting, corporate development, capital management, budgeting and forecasting, at Tahoe Resources and Klondex Mines, until its acquisition by Hecla. Jeff has more than ten years of finance and accounting experience within the mining industry, is a CPA, and graduated from the University of Nevada.
Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communication
Tracey has over 20 years of Investor Relations experience in the mining industry, working with companies in various stages of development from exploration to dual-listed multi-national organizations. Tracey has been with the Company since 2009. Prior to joining Hycroft, Tracey was with Andina Minerals Inc. as Vice President, Investor Relations. Before that she held the position of Director, Investor Relations and Communications at Kinross Gold Corporation (“Kinross”) and also began her career at TVX Gold Inc. until its acquisition by Kinross in 2003.
Vice President, Controller
Ashlie joins Hycroft with nearly 20 years of experience, having served in various finance and accounting roles including as Controller at three mining companies. She has prior history with the Hycroft Mine through her tenure at Vista Gold as Controller. She has extensive experience in accounting and external/public reporting.
Vice President & General Manager - Hycroft Mine
Mike is a highly experienced process operations professional with specific focus on the chemistry and practices involved with refractory and double refractory gold processing. Mike has spent his almost 30 years of experience focused on process operations at some of the world’s largest mining companies including Barrick Gold Corporation (“Barrick”), Newmont Mining Corporation (“Newmont”), and most recently McEwen Mining Inc. He has also spent time working in other disciplines including fixed plant maintenance, continuous improvement and project management. Mr. Eiselein is also a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional. Mike started his career at Barrick’s Goldstrike Mine working with the mill and autoclave operations groups and progressed his way through senior process positions within the global Barrick portfolio of operations. At Newmont, Mike led the process and metallurgical departments at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine and was also Director of Full Potential Maintenance and Reliability for Newmont’s Nevada operations. Mike has a proven track record of improving operations through the development and integration of process enhancements, optimization programs and cost control measures while placing emphasis on ensuring health and safety programs and environmental compliance practices are followed. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering/Mineral Processing from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology.
Vice President, Exploration & Geology
Mr. Berry joins Hycroft as Vice President, Exploration and Geology. Mr. Berry brings more than 30 years of experience in geology and exploration to the Hycroft team. His previous roles have included progressively senior technical positions with successful hard rock mining companies including Romarco Minerals Inc. (“Romarco”), Barrick, and Homestake Mining Company. Mr. Berry is a Mine Geologist with ore control expertise, metallurgical expertise and geologic domain interpretation and modeling. Mr. Berry has a proven track record of establishing successful exploration and geology programs often leading to significant growth in mineral resource and reserves. At Romarco’s Haile Gold Mine, his reinterpretation of the geology and resource led to the discovery of over five million ounces of gold, including two high-grade underground targets. Mr. Berry earned his Bachelor of Arts in Geology from the University of Tennessee and is a Qualified Person in accordance with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s new mining rules.
